Is it ok to hire two web developers at the same time for my Shopify store?

Is it ok or normal to hire two different web developers at the same time for my Shopify store and just choose which design I like best? Will it cause any issues for the staff? Is there a way that each developer can work on their own and not see the other's work or something. I doubt it, but I thought it was worth asking.

Yes it is completely alright for two people to work on the same time at one Shopify store as long as they are working on different themes and not 2 people working on 1 theme otherwise their changes are gonna get override by the other one.

It is ok to hire but not normal at all.

Why don't you hire a designer to remake your theme and hire 1 developper to make that exact same design. It will negate the risk of both developer fail to impress you. On other note, why don't you check theme store for better theme or go to themeforest and buy a shopify theme.
