I am building a new theme on top of dawn, my theme offers multiple new sections with different options along with some previous dawn sections and significant changes to header.
I got an attached email right after my submission, The email was so fast that I think review was done by a program.
Do I need to remove most of the previous dawn code/sections so it does not detect it is built on top of dawn theme.
I didn't make any changes to dawn checkout, cart, search, blog pages could this be one of the reasons.
I have gone through shopify theme requirements article mentioned in email and currently working on changes.
Since there are only 2 more chances left for submission I want to get as much as possible clarity and tips on passing shopify theme submission process so my theme can be up to the mark by next submission.
"I didn't make any changes to dawn checkout, cart, search, blog pages" I think you answered your own question.
Shopify aren't going to let you re-sell their Dawn theme, so it needs to be significantly different for it to be accepted I imagine. This would likely include changes to every page.
Good luck with the submission!
Yeah I also think this is one of the reasons.
Have you submitted a theme on theme store?
