Rules for customizing the theme

When customizing a theme by adding custom liquid sections, are there any rules for adding a button that navigates the user to a new checkout flow? I see you can’t publish an app that does that, but don’t see anything about adding a simple button to the theme. Will this break the terms?

Hi Mmaccou - if the button is directing to a payment processor which is not Shopify's native processor, this would be against the terms of service.
