Hello everyone,
Our team is facing some issues working with ThemeKit in several stores. The ThemeKit commands (theme open, theme watch, etc) have suddenly stopped working and we can't work on the development of the themes in these stores anymore. Nothing happens when the commands are running. And the whole team has faced that issue.
Maybe some of have faced an issue like that? We would appreciate any help, thanksБез названия.png

We're having the exact same issue! But weirdly it's only against 1 store in particular. We have other stores and Themekit works fine on them.

This is a huge blocker for us so any help would be appreciated!

Hello, we've tried to contact Shopify Support and Partners Support, but we didn't receive any workaround or solution. So we've been trying to work with Shopify CLI instead of ThemeKit on those projects and that's the only way, for now, that works. Maybe this solution will help you or anybody else who will face the same issue.

I'll just weigh in here with our fix.

This seems to be a ThemeKit Access App issue. Our way to get round this was to not use the app. Instead you can create a private app that will give you a password/key that you can use instead. This seemed to work fine (you could also use the Shopify CLI which is Shopify's recommendation but this doesn't work for all uses).

This was actually the original way we used to do things before ThemeKit made that app. So this might be familiar to anyone looking at this.

So go to https://admin.shopify.com/store/[store_name]/settings/apps/development and choose "Create an app" and follow the steps there. Make sure you allow Theme Create/Edit permissions for this too.

Hope this helps and good luck!
