Strange “Out of Stock” Error Above Header (Search Bar Issue)

Hi everyone,

I’m facing a strange issue with my Shopify store that I’ve never encountered in my six years of running online shops. Here’s a quick summary:

The Issue:

There is a search bar displaying above the header on all my pages, except on individual product pages. The search bar shows that a product is “Out of Stock”, but I can’t even see which product it’s referring to. It’s pretty weird, and I’m not sure where this is coming from. (dr-owl.com)

What I’ve Tried:

- I’ve tried several QuickFixes with ChatGPT, including debugging Liquid and JavaScript code. I even reverted all the changes I made before the problem appeared, but the issue is still there.

- I suspect it might be due to JavaScript not loading correctly, but I’m not entirely sure.

Recent Changes:

- Added a WhatsApp Share button and a Copy-to-Clipboard function via updates to settings_schema.json and JavaScript. I have since reverted these changes, but the issue persists.

im using the FLOW theme from eight themes.

how on earth can this happen without any recent changes?

I hired some experts from upwork to fix it, they are still working on it, and i will Update you as soon as i got a solution. I also have the flow theme so this seems to be the cause, not an app or anything else

Hi @Denislisa , I believe this is an issue with the theme overall. Fortunately, @dr_max_owl highlighted the issue to us, and we were able to fix it right away. This is a glitch in the FLOW theme, which can seriously impact your store's performance if not addressed in time.

I’ve fixed it:

It appears that Shopify's recent update to the 'Dynamic checkout buttons' has caused a conflict that’s affecting the header in your theme. Specifically, the dynamic checkout button is causing the cart drawer to render incorrectly.

I FIXED IT.

SOLUTION:

1. Disable Dynamic Checkout Buttons
You can temporarily disable the 'Dynamic checkout buttons' in the cart by following these steps:

• Go to Customize in your Shopify admin.
• Navigate to Theme settings > Cart.
• Disable the option to Enable dynamic checkout buttons.
