Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi! I’m new to Shopify and just had my first monthly launch to my shop. Over 60 items sold out within the same day.. So about 6.2k total. I’m currently waiting on payout to go through in full as I have my payments set to “daily”
Im just curious why my payouts are being dispersed the way they are and not in full?
yesterday 2.1k was added to my bank, and now it says 1.5 is pending balance.
Will the rest of my balance be added in increments throughout the week? I’m just nervous bc it is not showing my total that is awaiting payout.. just what’s currently pending.
Also I’m curious why incremental pay when all items were sold on the same day..
thanks in advance!

Hi, @Natalie1783!
Great question! Payouts will be sent within 2-4 business days from the time the order was placed. The timeframe depends on your region, so if you're based in the United States, then your payouts would be scheduled every 2 days. While you can set to have payouts every day; that would only work if you have enough orders to generate a payout for each day. More information on payouts can be found here. You may see a delay in your payouts if:
You can view your payouts in Settings/Payment Providers/View Payouts. The payouts that have been sent will appear here; however, if you have more recent orders that have yet to be paid out, then you can click "Transactions" to view your pending amount.
If you have more than one payment provider enabled (i.e Paypal), then there is also a chance that some of your funds were handled outside of Shopify as your customers chose the alternative payment provider instead. If that is the case, then you'll need to reach out to the payment provider in question to locate the funds if you're not seeing them appear.
For example, if you have Paypal enabled, then the funds would be sent to the email shown in Settings/Payment Providers. If you're not seeing the funds there, then you can open an order that was paid via Paypal and scroll down to the order timeline and click on the payment line. Here you'll find all the information you'll need to supply to Paypal to help locate the funds and ensure they are deposited correctly.
