Accepting credit card payments for vape store

Hey guys,

We run an online vape business located in Australia and we have not had any success getting a merchant account approved to accept credit card payments. We have tried reaching out to the Shopify support team but they haven’t been much help with this particular issue, and companies like authorize.net claim to approve vape stores but they don’t actually offer a merchant account, only a payment gateway which is useless if you don’t have a merchant account as you still can’t accept online credit card payments.

does anyone have any tips or advice on how we can begin accepting online credit card payments for our business? We have been established for 2 years using PayPal but sadly they have recently closed our account due to us being a vape business.

We also have a letter from our solicitor confirming that we are 100% compliant with all laws and we also do not sell any nicotine in our business
