Accurate Carrier Rate Shipping cost for Different Product Sizes

I sell different Fine Art (Wall Decor) sizes and therefore different shipping packages. I'd like to take advantage of Shopify agreements with Carriers (use their discount) using the Carrier Calculate option but it forces me to select one Default Package size, which ends up presenting incorrect costs (either lower or higher) at checkout for products that uses non-Default packages. How to solve for this?

I know can I can use Own Rate options but I'll have to calculate that manually for each product which seems not ideal. Anything I'm missing here?

Hi @Olivalves,

Shopify gives default box sizes and the problem with using Shopify's default box size is that you will be undercharging/overcharging for some orders. You will be responsible for paying the additional shipping cost, and if you overcharge for shipping, most customers will abandon their cart.
There has been a lot of queries regarding the option to add multiple package size & at the moment the workaround is to use shipping solutions like the PH MultiCarrier Shipping Label app. The app supports multiple packing options along with custom boxes and gives you accurate shipping costs based on your product weight and dimensions. However, you will not be able to get the Shopify discounted rates but you can add carrier accounts & have your negotiated rates.
