I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the payment status of my first order on my Shopify store.
I have received my first order from a customer, but the payment status is showing as "pending payment" on my dashboard. I am not sure what to do in this situation, and I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed.
Furthermore, I would also appreciate any information you can provide me on what to do after receiving orders. As a new Shopify store owner, I am still learning the ropes and would like to ensure that I am handling orders and payments correctly.

If your order is displaying "Pending payment" then this could be due to the customer paying for their order with a different payment method than a credit card. In this case, the Payment pending status indicates that the payment provider has started processing, but needs time to complete the payment. I can see that you only offer PayPal on your store so that is likely the case here.
You should have a look at our guide to fulfilling your own orders to make sure you're familiar with the process and feel confident managing your orders, although a lot of it will come from trial and error and experience.
