Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
My store has all credit cards except Diners Club enabled for accepted types of payment. Customers are telling me they're getting their orders declined repeatedly when they use a credit card, no matter what card they use. Checking my processed order download (see attached), I can see only orders with Paypal and Shop Pay (or free items) have been successfully ordered. Checking the KB, I see another user had the problem of their Shopify store having a merchant code that was accidentally coding their site as a gambling business. Please advise!

First thing to check is that your Shopify Payments gateway isn't set to "test" mode:
https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/shopify-payments/testing-shopify-payments#test-mode
Admin > Settings > Payments > Click "manage" in the Shopify Payments section > In the test mode section, make sure you don't have "enable test mode" checked.
If test mode isn't enabled, then your best bet would be to reach out to Shopify's support team directly, so that they can check if there are any issues/limitations being placed on your payment gateway.

Hello, we are having the same issue! Did you have any luck fixing the issue?
We have the same issue, and shopify are pointing the finger at the banks.... It not, its a shopify issue. there seems to be ALOT of people with this same issue dating back to 2020 and not one knows what to do..
I'm also experiencing this, we're you able to resolve this?
I recently had the same problems and the robot agent keeps saying 'there are no issues' except I've had 5 abandonned carts in two days which I never had before. I tried myself and realized my store simply won't process the order, just brings me back to checkout with no error message whatsoever and I see later that it was declined. The robot agent was virtually useless and I wouldn't be surprised its bad AI bots. What is worrying to me is this : for one transaction, Shopify conveniently DELETED the timeline of the purchase attempt and told me 'the customer never actually tried to pay' -- Good thing is I have a screenshot which I sent to prove them wrong and they simply stopped answering after that. This is business malpractice and pretty worrying that they would do that. Overall, shopify will only care about you paying for your plan. After that, you are a nuisance to them and they will try everything to make you go away by providing fake answers and shifting blame on any person bu themselves.
This just started at my shop today. Every single card says decline.. Even my Cash option says decline I have to keep hitting it to get it to work and it says decline for 3-4 times then finally it works. Have you found a way around it by a chance?
I have the same problem since last week monday. I was doing 275.000 in revenue last month, and now 95% of creditcard payment attempts by customers are declined. The shopify customers service, say everthing should be fine and working. I tried so much things to fix this problem....
Have you found a solution,. I really want to keep using Shopify Payments.. I really hope to hear from you!
I'm in the same boat, all cards decline. So much missed revenue. wonder If any party is responsible 🤔 would be alot easy to talk to a live person on the phone but all I get is chat bots. Banks point to payment processing, strip points to shopify, and shopify points to strip. All I get is the run around!
Where do you sell? In which market?
I'm in the US.
