Amazon payments deactivated - how to activate

Hello,

my amazon pay account has been deactivated. I opened account before taking off password from the store and amazon locked account as the site was not accessible. 

Now I sent appeal asking for reacitvation but no response since 7 weeks. What is the best way to reactivate account? Is it possible to close existing amazon pay account and re open?

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with your Amazon Pay account. While this is a third party platform, I am happy to offer advice where I can.

 

You mentioned that you have submitted an appeal, however you are no further forward. May I ask have you tried reaching out to their support at this link for assistance?  That might be the next best course of action to get an update on the status of your appeal. In regard to closing an Amazon Pay account and reopening another, their support team would be the best to reach out to confirm if this is possible. That being said, I did find a help article here on closing your Amazon Pay account if you wanted to have a look!

 

Aside from the above, how are things going on the rest of your website? Have you any aims or goals for 2022 that you would like to discuss? I'd be more than happy to help you out with some tips or ideas! Have a great day!

@Maz thanks for response.

Since amazon support didn't respond to my query I was thinking to disable and then enable amazon pay from shopify admin site. And then once I will enable hopefully it will trigger automatic verification of my website and since it's no longer psw protected it may be successful.

 

The problem is that once I click on 'activate amazon pay' in shopify admin it redirects me to amazon website where I can only create new amazon pay account, there is no option to log in to existing amazon pay account. Do you know how to activate amazon pay for users which already have amazon pay account?

Are you able to send a screenshot of where it shows you can only create a new Amazon Pay account after activation so that I can take a closer look?
