Apps for Shopify Collective Shipping Costs

Are there any apps (third party or otherwise) that can be used to calculate retailer shipping costs when using a Shopify Collective Supplier to fulfill orders?  Flat rate does not work for a solution. I want to calculate actual shipping from the supplier location to the customer based on their options selection.

Hi @NotImpressed,

There's some solutions you can consider, such as: Advanced Shipping Rules, Intuitive Shipping, Better Shipping, Parcelify and ShipStation

I'll offer up our app as a solution here too, which may be of interest. Starshipit can help you calculate accurate shipping costs for your Shopify store:

  • Integrate with Shopify: Starshipit automatically imports your orders with customer and product details.
  • Live rates at checkout: Display different delivery options and shipping speeds at checkout, showing individual rates for each option.
  • Multiple carriers: Use different carriers for different locations and distances to get the most cost-effective shipping rates.

Hope this helps!

Hi @NotImpressed you can check out our Multi Carrier Shipping Labels app. It supports multiple carriers and comes with a 14-day free trial. Then you can select a subscription plan based on your orders.

Shopify rolled out a Collective shipping rate piece that is supposed to be a "live rate-fetch" from Suppliers to retailers. However, I can't seem to get it to work. Additionally,  as a supplier I am unable to build pricing lists. Whenever I add a product to a pricing list, it says it has been added, however it doesn't add it. I talked with Shopify through chat yesterday, but they weren't able to provide a resolution to this, however did say that support will contact me.

I updated to the new "fetch" method and it updated to show new rates or "calculated" depending on the supplier.  I hope its working waiting for a collective supplier sale to verify that it is working.  Shopify is consistently modifying their platform but they do not take the user's impact into account and are not responsive to questions. In particular if you are not using their expensive programs they won't speak to you at all.  When I got started with Shopify you could actually speak with a tech and they would help you through an issue but now it's a chat session and all you get is pasted links to their help items.  Shopify is destroying all customer good will.
