Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello,
With the new local currency feature, if a customer purchases in their local currency, will they receive the confirmation email (with the products they bought listed) in their local currency?
Thanks!

Hi, @Lauracy.
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes, whatever currency the customer uses to checkout with, will be the currency that shows in the confirmation email they recieve.
Please let me know if you have any further questions! I would love to learn more about your business. What type of products do you sell?

Hi, I set up multi-currency and multi-language markets in Shopify. However, when customer checksout in local currency using cash on delivery, the customer receives the order confirmation email in EUR (store default currency). How to show customers local currency in order confirmation emails?
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I have the same problem. Did you find any solution?
Thank you.
I have tried to solve this and had an extensive research, unfortunately there is still no solution to this.
But there is a work around for this problem only if you are using Shopify plus. Shopify plus gives the option to add maximum of 10 stores within the organization so for each currency you have to setup a different store and set that currency to the default one so that when customer checkout they will see that currency in their email.
There is also an option of making a custom app but I have not tried this. You can develop a custom Shopify app which can get rates from any exchange and convert the store default currency to other currencies using that exchange rate and use the converted currency in your email.
