Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello I am writing to see if anyone else has had this issue which is a major flaw with shopify. Recently I have added a shopify b2b site. My customers tend to pay on 30 day terms but they pre order 6 months ahead as we have a clothing business. My customers in the UK can place their pre-order and select "bank deposit" at the checkout and then I send them the invoice later when their order is ready. However for the "Markets" I have enabled e.g. USA my customers are not shown the "Bank Deposit" option, just the credit card option. This means my customers cannot make pre-orders on my b2b site. It looks like shopify are just trying to force customers to make a payment so they can take their cut of the transaction.
I don’t see why shopify cannot enable bank deposits on all markets as this is essential for wholesalers wishing to take pre-orders. Is anyone else having this issue?
This is a known issue and unbelievable how Shopify is still missing such a basic feature in 2023!
The reason for this is that any manual payment methods on your store are only available on the markets that has the same currency as your primary market. So if UK is your primary market, bank deposit will only be available for your UK customers as GBP is your primary currency.
Makes absolutely no sense why Shopify would do this but that's sadly the case.
