I'd just like to know how I should go about hooking up my Suncorp bank account to my Shopify account. I live in Australia and it says my bank state branch number is invalid. Why is this?

To define some items in that list more specifically, these types of bank accounts can result in an error message when trying to connect, because they are not able to receive payouts through Shopify Payments:

Hi I’m also having difficulty adding my bank branch number to my account, I’ve tried several times and have my currency on AUS.

As a first step, please confirm that your account meets the requirements outlined in my post 01-17-2020 (see screenshot below). If you aren’t entirely sure your account fulfills the requirements, please contact Bank SA directly to have them check, and/or make the appropriate changes.
If your bank account does meet the above criteria, and you are still receiving an error message pertaining to the branch number, we’re happy to take a closer look at it. We’ll need to access your account in order to do so. I'm having the exact same problem.
I've opened a business account with Commonwealth Bank, checked all the requirements, I even called them and went through the requirements.
They said that everything is correct and ready to run on their side.

Thanks so much for contacting your bank to have them check everything on their side; that’s definitely the first step towards troubleshooting it. The last thing I’ll get you to confirm, is that you are entering your account and branch number without any hyphens or extra characters added. Just numbers.
If you are satisfying that last requirement and still receiving an error message, then we will need to have our Shopify Payments team take a look into this for you. Since we’re unable to assist with account specific issues here in the Community, please create a support request by live chat, email or phone callback via the Help Center. A Support Advisor will authenticate your account, and gather all the details needed to escalate this on your behalf and figure out what the roadblock is.

After checking BSB and Account number and make sure they were actually correct, the problem was fixed by using google chrome instead of firefox.
