Base Shipping Cost on Order weight AND Order Price

Hi,

We use the shipping rates based on Cost to provide free shipping over £80 and use rates based on weight for all paid services. However, some products weigh a heck of a lot and we can't offer free shipping on them. It seems like it should be simple enough to base shipping cost on Order Weight AND Order Price.

I.e. Free shipping on orders over £80 but only weights up to 10kg - or something like this. Any ideas how this can be done natively in shopify? And can any Shopify mods explain why it couldn't be easily implemented?

Hi,

I don't think this can be implemented natively in Shopify. Shopify allows you to use only either price OR weight for setting rates.

You would have to resort to a third party app like ours.
