Can anyone help with alternative CC processing options for Shopify?

Anyone using processing through anyone other than shopify payments?

I'm setting up a brick & mortar store, but need to process though heartland. We were told this was posible through authorize.net, but now are hearing that the chipper wont work with anything other than shopify payments & any other card reader will not integrate with shopiy.

Any suggestions?
