Can customers have multiple Shop Pay Installment Plans?

Hi-

I see the limit per transaction for the Shop Pay interest-free 4 payment plan is $999.99.  Suppose a customer purchases a product for $700 and selects the 4 payment option and completes their order.  Can they make a separate purchase, say for $700, and also select the 4 payment option for the second order or does Shop Pay limit the number of orders per customer?

Customers can make additional or separate orders using Shop Pay Installments as the $999.99 USD transaction limit only applies to a single order (using the four biweekly payment options). While most customers shouldn't have any issues placing up to two orders with installments, the eligibility and ability to borrow more (in order to place two or more orders) will be based on each individual's credit score. Although there aren't any late fees for customers who miss a scheduled payment, our promoting Shop Pay Installments on your online store guide does explain to customers that partial payments or late payments could impact their credit score and eligibility to continue using Shop Pay Installments in the future.
