Can customers pay with cards if I only activate PayPal?

If I activate paypal as payment gateway, does it mean that only on Paypal will customer pay or they can also pay via debit or credit card even they don't have paypal accounts, as long as I linked my cards on paypal? If not, do I have to activate other payments like visa, mastercard, amex etc?

Hi @art3bd !

When activating PayPal as a payment gateway, you are allowing anyone with a PayPal account to checkout using that platform. However, if a customer does NOT have a PayPal account, they will not be able to use their credit/debit card unless they create a PayPal account. 

If you wish to allow all customers to checkout on your store (with or without a PayPal account), you will need to set up another payment gateway to your store. 

Note: You can have more than one payment gateway set up on your account. Often, merchants have PayPal along with another gateway for credit card checkout.
