Can I accept payments during my £1 month trial or do I have to wait until May?

I'm on trial for £1 for 3 months.  I have chosen basic and yearly subscription which starts in May.  My website is ready to launch. Can I accept payments at checkout during £1 month trial,  or for i have to wait till May? There's no option to pay now. I went on billing and it states in May money will be billed for one year. I was told during trial checkouts for payments will not work.
