Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi,
We are an interior design firm that offers furniture from our suppliers to the public (mainly local residents). However, when the pieces are ordered, the furniture is shipped to our office and the customer has to pick it up from our store.
Which brings me to my question:
Is there a way to add an automatic selection of our store address at checkout as opposed to the customer inputting their own?
Hey there! This guide explains how to set the option for customers to pick up their online orders at your retail store, curbside, or any location that you choose: Shopify Help Center | Setting up pickup for online orders
And here's a summary of a relevant part of the guide:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
In the Local pickup section, click the location that you want to activate. If you have several locations, then click Show more to display all of your locations.
Select This location offers local pickup.
In the Information at checkout section, change the settings to meet your needs.
Optional: Under Order ready for pickup notification, enter pickup instructions for customers.
Adding instructions in the Pickup instructions field will override any customizations that have been made to the Email body in the Ready for pickup template.
Click Save.
As another solution, you can use a shipping automation solution like Starshipit, which allows you to offer a pickup location exclusively, or alongside other delivery options.
Hope this helps 🙂
