Can I switch from Shopify Payments to a bank account later if I decide to?

Thank you for getting in touch. Shopify Payments is a payment gateway you can use to accept payments from customers. You can link your bank account to Shopify Payments and you will receive payouts from your orders within a few days.

You can disable Shopify Payments at any time, but you'll need to use an alternative gateway if you still want to accept payments from customers for their orders. Can you tell me more about why you might want to make a change?

You actually answered my question! I guess I worded it wrong. I chose the Shopify Balance option instead of connecting to my bank account, was wanting to know if I could change it to my bank account if I chose to. I will leave it as is for now!

Right, I see. That should not be an issue. You can change the account you use to receive payouts at anytime, be it via Shopify Balance or your own bank account. It's worth knowing that you can receive rewards by using your Shopify Balance account so I'd recommend taking a look at those when deciding how you'd like to receive your payout funds.
