Towards the end of your trial, generally on the last day, an option to extend your trial by a further 7 days should appear as a banner in your admin. If this option does not appear and you do require some additional time I would recommend reaching out to our support team directly. Additional trial time is limited to 14 days and will only be applied at the end of the trial. To get the most of your trial time I'd recommend taking a look at our Shopify webinars. These short tutorials take you through all the basics of creating a store such as adding products, variants, collections, theme changes, and pointing a domain to your store. You should be able to sign up here. We also have a fantastic YouTube channel that is jam-packed with how-to guides which you can view here.

I would recommend reading our guide on getting support from the Shopify Community here so you are best equipped when looking for support through these forum boards.
