Can I prepare shipping labels in advance for future shipments on Shopify?

We have a situation where we open registration mid March and ship all products related to that registration late May. Is there a way in Shopify where we can print labels and start pulling orders for shipment, but the shipping date be late May? If so, what would be the process? and... Will shipping confirmation emails go out when the labels are printed?
