Can I provide discounts on prepaid orders

I am based in India, and we get about 70% Cash On Delivery Orders here. Most of those get cancelled after the user has already received the order. Is there any option to provide discounts on prepaid orders. I have option to give discounts in the payment gateway. But the invoices won't be updated because gateway has no link to shopify ecosystems- it just accepts payments. Even if I use discounts available through gateway I won't be able to provide updated invoices to customers, and I also won't be able to track the usage of these discounts, like we do in Shopify.

Unfortunately it's not possible to provide a discount only on prepaid orders on the normal Shopify Checkout because it's not possible to limit discounts to specific payment methods on Shopify.

However this is possible if you use a separate order form for COD and the normal checkout just for prepaid orders.

You can use our app Releasit COD Form & Upsells to do this, the app allows you to create a custom order form for Cash on Delivery where no discounts are applied, and then you can create an automatic discount on your Shopify store that applies for example 15% off for all prepaid orders that will go through the checkout. The solution is very effective and it looks like this on your product pages or cart page:

The "Pay online and get 15% off" button is the default "Buy now" button from Shopify, but renamed.

Hi,

It is possible to implement this using our free app Payment Customizations: PayMix.

You can setup a rule in PayMix to "Show specific payment methods and hide others" when the cart contains discount.

For your particular use case, you can create a rule to only show the online payment methods and hide COD if the discount code is applied.
