Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
My products are divided into those that ship from the United States and those that ship from Japan. I want to set different shipping rates for each country of origin, how can I do that?
You can set different rates depending on which location fulfills an order by putting the locations in groups. This lets different groups of locations have different shipping zones and rates.
I will be selling to Japan, not the United States.
My products are in a warehouse in Japan, so I change the Default location, Shipping origin, and Shipping zone to Japan and set the Add rate.
However, I noticed that my products are inactive in the SHOP channel.
I checked and found the message "Sell with Shop is inactive and your Shop Store is not discoverable on the Shop App because it does not meet Shop Merchant Guidelines" in the SHOP settings.
Of course, Shopify Payments is authorized as normal.
What should I do?
If your business primarily operates from the USA and sells to Japan, I would suggest keeping the USA as the default location. You can add a warehouse in Japan additionally.
Reach out to Shopify Support for help if the issue persists and your shop is not discoverable.
