Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I am setting up my shop and am going to be selling items out of my apartment, which is in Missouri. I do not want my private address to be public, and I have a close friend that owns a public gift shop in Kansas that offered to let me use their address as my business address and basically operate out of their shop for mailing in that way. I basically live on state line only a few minutes away from their store, so it's not like I'm listing something far away. But I am concerned about state taxes--it brought up an alert when I tried to change my address since it technically is in a different state. Is that going to cause big issues for me? I don't want to pay for a PO box, this already isn't really a very profitable effort for me and is mostly a hobby.
