Can I use PayPal Express Checkout with unsupported currencies?

How can I use pay pal express checkout, if my currency isn't within the list of countries that paypal express checkout support. Is there any payment options for international buyers? I'm based in Indonesia and looking forward to sell internationally.Thanks

Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.

I reviewed the currency codes for the PayPal express checkout and IDR is not currently supported. This means that you will only be able to use the currencies here to set it up. You may also want to look to set up a payment gateway as this will allow you to collect payments from customers via more payment methods like credit cards. You do have a number of payment providers available for Indonesia which can be viewed on our payment gateway page. From there, you can select one that works best for your business.

Now that your store will allow you to accept payments, a great suggestion is to look into Shopify Markets as it's a cross-border management tool that helps you identify, set up, launch, optimize, and manage your international markets - all from a single store.

I’d also  love to know more about which types of advertising tools you’re interested in using. Are you planning on using Facebook, Instagram, Google ads? Feel free to let me know more and we can move towards a marketing plan that works for your business.

was just doing a search and came across your reply. Since it's recent you should be aware that as great Shopify Markets would be it's only available if you use Shopify Payments, which of course are NOT available for an Indonesia.

Shopify Markets is available to all merchants globally, however some features are only available to merchants using Shopify Payments, and are plan-dependent. If you are not on Shopify Payments, these features will likely be available: 

• Sell in up to 20 languages from a single store.
• Set up international domains to optimize international SEO and ensure buyers land on the correct language/translation website.
• Manage markets easily with functions like creating, customizing, and previewing markets.
• Gain insights into market performance through performance metrics and recommendations.
• Set product prices by country, including percentage increase/decrease and fixed product pricing.
