Hello, I am closing my shop and am wondering if I will still be able to use the funds on my card until they run out?

Thanks!

Hi again, @SoulaFree!

Thanks for following up.

I completely understand. If you want to take a pause from selling on Shopify, but continue working on your store, then you can use the Pause and Build plan. In regards to your Shopify Balance card, I suggest getting in touch with our team through the Help Center so that we can review your options.

Kindly reply back to this thread with any questions or updates and we can continue our conversation further!

Hi, @SoulaFree!

Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.

I understand that you want to close your store and are inquiring about using the funds on your card. May I ask which funds you are referring to? For instance, are you referring to Shopify Balance? I'd also like to ask you why you decided to close your store? Is there anything we could have done to help you out better?

We can also take a closer look if you get in touch via our Help Center for account specific support where we'll be able to review your account to see what your options are with your remaining funds.  To access our live support you will want to follow the on screen prompts to sign in, choose your topic and issue and at the bottom of the help articles provided will be all available live support options.

Let me know how that goes!

Thank you , yes this is my Shopify balance card.
Online views don’t justify paying for a site right now.

Hi again, @SoulaFree!

My pleasure. I'm happy that I was able to help out.

That's a great idea. Aside from pausing your store, the Starter Plan might be a great plan for you. You will be able to use the pre-built online store which includes product pages, a contact page, and Shopify's fast and secure checkout. On top of this, you can sell in person at the local markets through mobile point of sale which allows you to accept payments with just your smartphone. Feel free to learn more about this plan here.

Let me know what you think, or if you have any questions!
