Can multiple shipping companies be offered on my site?

Can I provide more than one shipping company for my customers on my site? If there is a customer who would like to get his shipment within 6-7 days, even if it is at a higher price, can I do that?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some guidance on setting up shipping rates and carriers. To provide some context, you certainly can offer various carriers (USPS, UPS, DHL, etc) to customers at checkout that differ in price and delivery times. I recommend checking out this Shopify Shipping Documentation as it covers the available carriers within your region. 


If located within the United States, you will have the following carriers: 

  • UPS
  • USPS (not available in Puerto Rico) 
  • DHL Express (continental United States only) 


To set these rates up, you can also refer to our Setting Up Shipping Rates guide as it touches on those steps. It outlines however, you can complete this by: 


  • Heading into Settings > Shipping, from the Shopify admin. 
  • Next to the shipping profile where you want to add a shipping rate, click Manage rates.

  • Next to the zone where you want to add a rate, click Add rate.

  • Select Use carrier or app to calculate rates.

  • In the drop-down menu, choose the shipping service that you want to add calculated rates for.

  • Select the shipping methods from that shipping service that you want to provide as options for your customers at checkout.

  • Optional: Select whether to automatically offer any new services that the shipping service makes available.

  • Optional: Add any handling fee that you'd like to be added to the calculated rate.

  • Click Save.


Alternatively, you can look to the Shopify App Store for apps that will provide the ability to offer multiple carriers and rates to customers. I've gone ahead and listed a few below you can check out:
