Can non-US residents use Shopify payments?

thanks for your reply, I have now 6 weeks struggling with the payment providers but all the trials are failed due to the impossible requirements they need, I am about to close my store so please can you make things easy for us and accept me to activate shopify payment, since you accept users from all over the world why don't make shopify payments is an option for them instead go to third party providers by this way everything will be under shopify control.

I appreciate your help in this matter since I am losing money everyday for about 2 months.

Can you please tell me which country you are based in?

Shopify Payments is available outside of the United States but only in selected countries. Like most other payment gateways, we do require merchants to meet certain eligibility requirements in order to use the gateway to process transactions and it is not possible for us to grant access to those who fall short of the criteria. Can you tell me which other gateways you have tried using so far?

thanks for your reply and concern, as a way of introduction this is Mostafa from Egypt and I built my shopify store from 2 months now targeting US market but unfortunately you are narrowing the list of selected countries for certain countries only this list does not include any country from the MENA/GULF region for example even those are eligible countries and you accept them to have a shopify store but they are not eligible for shopify payments I don't know why. also even the provider that you offer for each region they requirements are impossible last one was payoneer they accept to have an account but not eligible for Checkout which is your requirement to connect my store because they need me to a Hong Kong entity🤔, what? My requirement is simple I need a place to have my payouts in USD which I can pay my supplier and have my share, simple? why you make simple things more difficult I am losing money everyday for that, I can submit all the neccesary official documents that you want to be eligible for this service, so please help.

Thank you for your feedback and I can appreciate your frustration with regards to not being able to use Shopify Payments. Our gateway is one we've expanded to more regions over time and I imagine we'll do so in future, although it's not just as simple as allowing merchants from any given region or country access. That said, we do note requests from merchants who wish to use Shopify Payments and where they are from before taking this feedback into consideration when looking to expand the gateway's availability.

In the meantime, you are required to use a gateway that is available in your region. I'd recommend reaching out to a variety of them and asking what their requirements are and if you can accept payments in USD with them.

me too I'm facing the same issue in my country united arab emirates  - dubai i am surprised that I can't convert currency on checkout  in golf countries  due to not being supported by Shopify payment , uae very well-known markets and accepted by all the major payment, but now we are failed to proceed with  our store due to this reason, please help me in this regard  if you  can  to activate shopify payment  in uae or apps can convert the currency on checkout page , thanks
