Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Using Shopify app for android (not the POS app, but the regular app). Created an order for a customer with a custom item. Selected the "Requires Shipping" toggle when adding the custom item to the order, but there is nowhere to add a weight for the custom item. I think this exists when using the desktop site, but not the app. Am I missing something? Is this a bug in the shopify android app?
When we send the invoice via email to a customer, and they go to pay, they select a carrier-calculated shipping cost at checkout, but that carrier-calculated shipping cost is based on some incorrect weight, and isn't calculated properly.

I did some looking into this and was able to replicate this myself on both my android and apple device. I have brought this to the attention of our technical team and they are currently reviewing to see if this was a feature left out at this time or if it is a technical issue with the admin app.
I sincerely thank you for flagging this! As a work around on your mobile device, you can sign into your store admin from within the browser instead of the admin app to create your draft orders. This should allow you to create custom items while also applying a shipping weight to it as well.

Following up on this topic. I need to be able to add weight to custom items for shipping. I can’t keep eating the extra cost for shipping for weight on my products. The baseline UPS charge is based on something under 1lb.
Is there an update on this fix for the mobile app?

Thank you for joining the thread! At this time, the ability to add product weight to a custom item via draft order in the Shopify mobile app is still not available.
Our developers are aware of this but I still don't have an ETA on when the feature will be rolled out.
