Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
We are new to shopify and our first payout failed saying the bank account was invalid. So I went to change it, but I can't change it without the old incorrect information. I opened a case a week ago and they escalated when it was opened. However, no one has gotten back to us. When I reach out to support I have been told various things from they will get back to me within 24 hours, to well they are busy it might take a while just keep waiting.
As a store we can't "just keep waiting" while Shopify has money from sales and is ignoring us.
Has anyone found a solution for this?

They have already spent a week on this without even bothering to answer my requests for an update. When I asked online support for an update they either say that is another department we can't help or "just keep waiting". Shopify is holding over $2,000 of our money and not doing anything to try and help us get it. That shows Shopify doesn't really care. If you care please help me be able to update our bank account information. If it helps our support case # is 48182688. There have been zero updates or requests for information, even though I have asked for updates.
We’re having similar issues. Tried changing bank account and it returned an ‘unexpected error’. Now we can’t receive any payments.
The issue was raised with Shopify 10 days ago and still not resolved. Useless chat support and no updates.
Shopify now owe us tens of thousands of $ (high turnover store) - we can’t receive any of it until they fix the issue. Our business costs are building up - we can’t go on waiting like this.
Quite appalled by the lack of support to be honest.
I am having similar problems - recently bought a Shopify store and cannot change the bank account without the previous owner's bank account details. I have been reaching out to support for a week now and keep being told it has been escalated to a payments specialist but have heard nothing. I am at a loss with this - currently any sales go into the previous owner's account. My ticket numbers are: 50646929, 50706920 ,50646929 and 50798610. I have no idea what to do next so trying here.
Hey have you had any luck with getting ahold of anyone or had them help you? I’m in the exact same situation and have been given the runaround for over a week and keep getting told the same.
