Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I purchased this Shopify account from another person recently. We changed all the information we could think of, including the bank details. I have since opened a business account and updated the information to this account, but when I enter my existing account details (same last two digits), it says they don't match. Thinking I may have had a typo in the number. I contacted the live chat and was told they couldn't do anything until I spoke to my bank (which does not make sense - how does my bank see the account details on Shopify?).
Hello @Emma50 ,
If you purchased the Shopify account from another person, it's possible that there are still some account details that are associated with the previous owner. Shopify may need to verify your ownership of the account before allowing you to update the bank details. You can provide any relevant documentation or information to Shopify to help verify your ownership.
Let us know if you find out something.
