Can't find Stripe in my payment options, how to fix?

hi, guys
I wanted to connect Stripe payment method with my Shopify but on my payment page, in the list of third-party suppliers, there is no Stripe.
I did research and watched tutorials, supposedly the Portuguese market accepts stripe payments.

how can I resolve this problem?

Is there any particular reason why you're looking to use Stripe as your store's main payment gateway?


The reason that I ask is because our native payment gateway of Shopify Payments is available in Portugal — so if your store meets the eligibility criteria, I recommend looking into Shopify Payments further in case our payment gateway suits your business' needs.


If you're interested in using Stripe however, merchants like yourself who are based in a country where Shopify Payments is offered are required to contact our internal team for next steps. This is so that our Shopify Payments team can review your account and proceed to enable the Stripe option on your store, if and where applicable. Keep in mind that this process involves a manual review from our internal Shopify Payments team, so you won't be able to simply contact our live support team to enable this option straight away on your store.


Just a couple of other things to note and think about if using Stripe:


  • As Stripe is a third-party payment gateway, you'll need to pay transaction fees according to the plan that your store is subscribed to.
  • All payment support will also come directly from Stripe, not Shopify. So if you run into any issues with the payment gateway down the line, our support team won't be able to assist as the Stripe gateway operates completely outside of our platform.

If you're still interested in using Stripe on your store, to get the review process started please contact our live support team via our Help Center here so that we can authenticate you against the correct account. Once in the Help Center, type contact support and follow the prompts given by the chat assistant. You'll then be connected to our live support team, who will be able to gather the necessary information from you in regards to your request. After that, they can escalate your case to be reviewed by our Shopify Payments team, who will follow up with your via your support ticket once they have reviewed your account information on their end.
