Can't fulfill an order because Shopify says product doesn't exist on my inventory.

I linked my Shopify to my Tiktok Shop and this is supposedly my first order on Tiktok Shop. When I went in to fulfill the order on Shopify, it said, "This order cannot be created on Shopify because the product in this order does not exist in your Shopify inventory."

The product exists on my CJDropshipping inventory, CJdropshipping is where I sourced the product from. Now, I don't know why I can't fulfill the order, if it's Shopify's fault or TikTok shop's fault. I just really want to fulfill this so if someone can help me it would be great.

The product has to exist in the Shopify admin (not just the CJdropshipping app). 

 

Go into your Shopify admin > Products > Search for the product. 

 

If the product isn't there, then you need to import the product to your store from your dropshipping app.

it's on my products. it's also not out of stock. i don't know why they say it's not on my inventory when it's there

That is indeed very strange. The best advice I could give would be to check TikTok's official help page to see if anything stands out to you:

If inventory tracking is enabled for the product on Shopify's end, and the product isn't sold out, then it should be working.

I as well as others just started having this same problem starting the week if 1/15/24. In fact the problem is even on items that have had no issues in the past on orders and now all of a sudden it will NOT pull through to Shopify. Was there an update done or something from Shopify? I have gone through the item with a fine toothed comb and nothing has changed on my end with the product on my Shopify page.

I am also having the same issue @StephensWorld. The products exist in my product page in Shopify. Has anyone figured out why this issue is happening and what the resolution is?

Hello,

 

I don't use dropshipping but i did get the same popup. The workaround was to click contact buyer in tiktok, but instead of writing a message, click on view order or order number in the message center. This is where i would find customers name and address to ship.  I created an order in shopify with marked as paid, and then i shipped the item.

I am also having this same issue. The connection was fine for a few days now i have a 5 orders. It does seem something was done to the API that orders are not coming from TikTok through Shopify. 

 

@Shopify can you look at this?
