Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi,
I'm getting notifications from an old post of mine about not being able to add Stripe anymore as a payment method on my store.
The solution that has been accepted on the old post is pretty much garbage, and I can't reply anymore since the post has been archived.
So if you can't select Stripe anymore, and it's forcing you to add Shopify Payments, here is the solution, it's very simple:
Set your store to a country that doesn't have Shopify Payments. This is found in Settings>>General>>Store Details. You will then be able to add Stripe as usual. Once you added Stripe you can change the store location back to the country your business is operating from.
Last time I did that was a few weeks ago, I just picked Estonia, I then added Stripe, then changed my store country back to my country. If I didn't do that, it would try to force me to use Shopify Payments. I don't have anything against Shopify Payments, but I've been using Stripe for almost 10 years and I don't feel like changing.
Hope this helps
