Shopify is pushing hard on the Cardinal service if you are using a 3rd party payment gateway.
We are based in Denmark and Quickpay already supports 3D Secure via their Shopify integration. What should we do about Cardinal? Will Quickpay need some sort of Shopify 3D secure approval or?
And info about 3D secure Shopify/Quickpay https://learn.quickpay.net/helpdesk/en/articles/3d-secure/#shopify--3-d-secure

Trying to find out the same thing. Have you seen the fees Cardinal charge on top of everything we already pay?
Did you manage to find an answer?
I use Sagepay Form (Now Opayo) as my payment gateway. They say they are fully 3DSv2 compliant and will work with Shopify (also what Shopify told me in June).
However, yesterday Shopify have now said I have to:
1. Change my payment gateway to one that works with Cardinal
2. Open an account with Cardinal ($150 per month fees)
I also use Sagepay (Opayo). When I spoke to their support, they insisted that they are 100% 3DSv2 compliant so not sure who to believe here. In September this year 3DSv2 is mandatory worldwide so I don't expect Opayo's entire business to just end after that!
We use Worldpay, the minimum is $25 a month for 50 transactions just seems like everyone is skimming off the top of the little guys, who are Cardinal anyway grrrr!
