Cart Expiration (Winter 25 edition)

Hello,

With the new update for "Winter 25" there was a section mentioning a longer cart expiration. But for some unknown reason it does not mention the actual expiration time. Or at least I cannot find it. This page here goes into the most detail I could find: Shopify's Cart is up to 50% Faster, Boosting Checkout Conversion (2024) - Shopify (it mentions a "longer lasting cart")

Could someone please inform me (and the rest of the community) of how long the cart will last now? Previously it was 10 days. If there is a document showing this, that would be very helpful.

Also is this change for every plan or only certain plans?

It would be nice to have this documented. I can't be sure about the overall functionality, but based on my testing while updating the cart on my store, if you look a the actual cookie expiration for the cart cookie you can see that it is 30 days. It sounds like it used to be 14 days because the cookie documentation from Shopify still says the cart cookie lasts 14 days as of the time of me writing this. So I'm guessing that the winter edition bumped it from 14 days to 30 days
