Cart Not Automatically Changing to Free Shipping when Minimum Met??

I have my shipping minimum set at $35.00 but if the shopper looks at the items in there the cart before meeting minimum, it does not change to free shipping once the minimum is met. Is there something I can do to change that, so they are not having to then go find and select free shipping?   Hope that was understandable and Thanks for any help.

Hi @cvette ,

I have checked and confirmed that there is no issue. According to my understanding, you want to keep paid shipping below $35 and above $35 it has to automatically change to Free.

So here is what I understood.

Now, what I did was I set the maximum price of shipping to $600 where the cart below $600 will be charged for shipping $4

But, I have set the rate such that above $600 the free shipping will be applied.

Now, the cart below $600 will get charged for shipping

And if I increase the value above $600, Free shipping is applied.

I hope I understood right. Please reply to me if I understood something wrong.

So I do have it so that shipping is being charged on orders that are under the $35.00 . My problem is occurring when the shopper looks at the items in their cart before the are over the $35.00 and then they add another item that pushes them over the minimum. That is when the cart does not change to Free Shipping and they are then having to scroll down and select the free shipping. My customers are older and not understanding why it is not just changing.

So essentially, why is the paid First Class option not going away once the minimum is met?

@cvette Because the condition of Maximum amount is not added to First class

It has to be
