Change Local Pickup order status automatically after purchase

Hi Community, hope anyone can help me with this issue I'm facing.

I need orders to be changed/marked automatically as "Ready for Pickup" immediately after purchase instead of doing it mannually.
Is there any workaround for achieving this?
I've already talked with Shopify Support and they couldn't offer me a solution for this.

I've been told by Shopify support I should edit the email template ralated to Ready for Pickup notification to achieve this, but I don't know how to do that.
They said I need knowledge about .theme.liquid which I don't have.
Can anyone help me with this?

I found this app, it works perfectly to automatically mark orders "Ready for Pickup" automatically, and it does so on a schedule so it looks more natural.
