Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
We will moving our warehouse and would like to change order processing to 12 days. How do I do this and should i post a reason on my site for the delay? Thanks
Go to customise theme, and select header. Scroll down and check the box "show announcement bar" then type something like: "order processing time temporarily extended to 12 days". It will then show on your homepage above the menu. I would also recommend you post on your business social media accounts the same message but with more of an explanation as to why.
I hope this is helpful 🙂

Anyone found an actual solution yet?
I'm also interested in finding an answer to having a more extended processing speed for my custom orders. I create handmade jewelry and when I have a higher order volume, there's no way I can process orders within a couple of days.
I'm so confused as to why Shopify hasn't addressed this. There is no reason I can think of that should restrict shop owners from selecting an accurate processing time based on their individual business needs. How hard is it to add additional options outside of "same, next, or 2 business days"? Adding a message at the top of the site or in an email follow up isn't sufficient, and anyone who has ever sold anything online knows that most buyers will not try to track down that information or bother reading a follow up email (nor should they have to). The solution of "well once they are wondering where their product is they'll look for that information" is unbelievably frustrating to read and not even close to a solution. I pay a decent amount to Shopify each month for my site - please address this issue ASAP. If it isn't addressed, I'll have to look elsewhere for somewhere that can. The headache of not being able to effectively communicate the processing time to the buyer isn't worth it. Ridiculous.
Theres only workarounds for longer processing times, such as an announcement bar or a visual delivery timer for the product page.
