Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi,
I am thinking about changing Stripe as my payment gateway into another provider of payment processor for credit card purchases for my Shopify store.
Braintree, 2Checkout, Checkout .com and other payment gateway providers seem more appealing with lower transaction fees and faster payout timing.
Before this major change in my Shopify store, I would like to know how this affects the current customers that have made their purchase trough Stripe.
I would appreciate it, if anyone has experience or knowledge about changing the payment processor for their Shopify store and could share for me and for the others reading this thread in the future if:
1. Can I still issue refunds and do other important actions as needed for my current customers without problems, even after I de-activate/replace Stripe with another credit card payment processor as my main payment gateway for credit card purchases.
2. If I decide to re-install my Stripe account back as the main payment processor in the future, does this happen effortlessly without any errors or surprises for the Shopify store or the stripe account itself.
Thank you in advance!
