Checkout phone number field won't go away

I want to remove the option for people to fill in there phone number at the checkout page.

 

I already turned it off in the settings, but at the checkout its still there.

Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.

 

I understand that you would like to remove the option for your customers to include their phone number at checkout. Based on your screenshots, the option that you removed in your settings was for the contact method customers use to check out. If you're looking to disable the phone number shipping option as well, then you will need to head back over to your Checkout settings and scroll down to Customer information and disable the Shipping address phone number.

 

Once you're able to resolve this, I'd love to chat with you more about your business! I see you're a new community member and it sounds like you may still be in the process of setting up your store. For instance, check out The General Checklist is a great tool that will ensure that you have your Shopify store all set up and ready for customers to make purchases on.
