combining both price based shipping and weight based shipping in shopify

Hi i need to know how can we charge shipping based on price and weight. i want to show shipping if the cart total is less than the set limit and add up some shipping based on weight.

Like my store has products small products and i have a shipping profile setup for price less than 40gbp  if the cart is less than 40 then it will charge 10gbp as shipping and i want with that 10gbp an additional amount should be charged for every extra kg above 5kg weight.

Unfortunately you cannot do this natively in Shopify. You cannot use 2 conditions to create shipping rates in Shopify.

You will need to use a third party app like ShipMagic to do so. However, be informed that using any third party shipping rate app (including ours) requires you to have CCS enabled on your store.

You cannot set up shipping rules based on both Weight and Price simultaneously; you must choose one when configuring rules.

To simplify the process, consider configuring rules separately for Weight and Price. You can have some rules based on Weight and others based on Price.

Alternatively, you can keep the rate name the same. In this case, if both rules apply, the system will present the cheapest option.

In any case, you should rethink and streamline your entire strategy.

Keep in mind that if these shipping rules are in different shipping profiles with the same name, the rates will combine when both profiles are satisfied.
