Configuring Shipping when using Prodigi Print on demand App

I want to implement the Automated Carrier Shipping rate with your Prodigi Print on demand App. It is the only way I want to set my shipping fees.

 

  • I have enabled the Prodigi App's Carrier Service in order to display shipping options and costs on the checkout page. I was able to do that because I have activated the "Carrier-Calculation Shipping" on Shopify which I pay for, without being on the Advanced plan. I have a Basic Shopify Plan + the "Carrier-Calculation Shipping" which I pay for. Before, I wasn't able to activate the Prodigi App's Carrier Service because I didn't have the "Carrier-Calculation Shipping" on Shopify. But now, I beleive I do not need to be on the Advanced Plan for the App's Automated Carrier Shipping rate to work.
  • I have activated the 3 markets I want to sell in, in Shopify.
  • All the products are included automatically in the general shipping profile, in which my 3 markets are defined.
  • The only Shipping origin I have available is my own address, not the Prodigi address.
  • I can see in each market that the "Prodigi Print on demand Carrier Service (rates provided by App)" is set, although I can see "0 services" as a status.
  • And I have deleted the Shopify backup shipping prices untill I can see that the Prodigi App's Automated Carrier Shipping rate is working properly.


Still, when I am trying to test an order from any of the 3 markets, I always get that same error message in the "Shipping method" section of the Checkout page: "This order can't be shipped to the address you entered. Review you address to ensure that all fields have been entered correctly and try again."

 

What am I doing wrong here?

We also have our own Shipping Rate app ShipMagic, so based on my experience you have performed all the necessary steps. 

 

The only problem here seems to be of the "0 services" available part. Can you try to reinstall the app once ? One of our clients faced the same issue, they had activated CCS after installing the app. So it was showing as "0 services". Reinstalling fixed the issue for them.

Ohhhhh, interesting. Thank you for that tip. Hopefully doing so won't force me to re-enter the tens of products I have integrated already, which represents something like ten hours of work 😬 . But that sounds like a good lead. Thank you!
