Connecting a Fulfilment Centre - CJ - HYPERSKU - SUP DROPSHIPPING

Hi, is anyone using CJ - HYPERSKU - SUP DROPSHIPPING ? I don't understand why there is an APP that connects literally every single thing to SHOPIFY except the Priority shipping methods chosen within these sites.

I had to take an extra step after already setting up my sales prices etc to include the shipping based on the shipping price quoted to me from CJ HYPERSKU and SUP and then had to come back into SHOPIFY to setup SHIPPING ZONES???

has anyone tried to add CJ HYPERSKU or SUP as a fulfillment service? in place of setting up SHIPPING ZONES?

Hi, @UpON.

Thanks for posting to the forums. I hope your day is off to a good start! I definitely appreciate that it's frustrating to have to add the extra step of shipping rates. Allow me to explain why this is.

The apps in question have supplier shipping rates that you have to pay as a customer. However, the Shopify checkout needs to know what to charge your customers for shipping. There is no way for the app to automatically transfer their supplier's rates to your store.

If you have already included your cost of shipping into your product prices then that is perfect! All you will need to do is set up Free Shipping which is quick and easy.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.

  2. Next select General shipping rates, click Manage rates.

  3. Create one or more shipping zones and:

    1. Click Add rate.
    2. Enter the name for the rate (Free Shipping)
    3. Make sure that the value of the Price field is 0.
  4. Click Done, and then click Save.

Free shipping is a great marketing strategy! Research shows that customers are more willing to pay a higher price for their product and receive free shipping, than to pay a lower product cost and pay shipping. Therefor, make sure that you make it clear to your customers right when they land on your site that shipping is 100% free! You can achieve this via a popup, or an announcement bar.

If you would like to provide your customers with expedited shipping, you would need to create that rate in Shopify. That being said, we don't recommend providing expedited shipping as this can cost more than the product itself.

Thank you, yes I calculated the cost of shipping in products being shipped
by USPS. So if USPS isn't available in all countries I would still have to
go through each country to set a shipping rate.

Thanks for the response @UpON.

That's correct. In order to use USPS rates, the products would need to be shipping from the United States. Which app are you using for dropshipping?

If you plan on shipping worldwide, you will need to check the shipping cost for those specific countries. Due to the fluctuating rates, we recommend focusing on a smaller target market. For example, the U.S. Canada, and the U.K. This way you can get an idea of the cost of shipping, and it will not be too time consuming, or tricky to implement.

As mentioned above, the best way to go about this to make it easier on yourself, and for the customer, is to provide free shipping, This way you can adjust your prices by the required amount. For example if a product is $5 and has $2 shipping, you can set a cost of $12 to ensure you are paying for shipping and returning a profit.

If you can provide the droshipping app you are using I can locate their shipping guides to provide you as well.
