Connecting Stripe for Shopify store in US

Hello,

I'm having trouble connecting stripe as payment gateway. i have connected it with my other store few months ago, but now option is gone(see pic.1) 

Because I'm Ukrainian, I can't connect Shopify payments so I'm looking for other payment gateways that are not requiring US passport and SSN.

All my documents are from US (LLC, EIN, bank account) 

Also have noticed Stripe is gone from payment providers in US. (see pic2)

Hi, @Kuziakin. 

For countries that are eligible for Shopify Payments, Stripe will not appear as Stripe powers Shopify Payments. However; there are a handful of countries where Shopify Payments is not available, but Stripe does offer its services (i.e. France). That said, Shopify Payments could be used if you are living outside the United States but your business operates in the United States and has the following documents: 

• Government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc. - non-US ID may be accepted)
• An SSN will be reqiured
• Business registration document (Registered in the US with the government)
• Proof that the business is operating from the US. This can include tracking showing you are shipping from the US or proof of a physical US address (not a forwarding address)
• A USD checking account opened with a real US banking institution, located on US soil. Virtual banks and currency services will not work for this, it has to be a real US bank

If you have all the documents and live outside of the United States then I can verify the store to escalate the request. There isn't a guarantee that we'll be able to provide Shopify Payments, but this would be the best route to take to find out. If you do live in the United States, or if we're unable to provide Shopify Payments, then you'll need to use one of the other payment providers available for your country.

Your answer sound like a solution for us. I have pretty much the same situation as mentioned above.

We have Shopify store in US. As the owner of LLC I am non US resident. So I do not have SSN. We are fully operating in US:

• We are fully operating business from US
• We have a legal business with US entity with EIN
• US fulfilment centre in Illinois. We have big stock of product in there which will be shipped to our customers.
• US bank account.
• Our accountant company is based in Illinois

We are selling hand made quality products with our own brand of high standard. Not a drop shipping. This is why we want to offer best service for our customers. And Shopify payments is important part of it. For this reason we filled us entity and waited 3 months for EIN. 

In our European Shopify shop we are happy to use Stripe. But as our company is based in US, we have no options to us Stripe in US.

We have provided all the documents in admin of our store. But our request for this was rejected. Our ticket ID is .

In this case we could not us Shopify payments nor Stripe. Currently we work with PayPal, which is not perfect match for us.

Hope you could help us to find the way out of this situation.

The process outlined is only for business owners who are living outside of the United States, but wish to use Shopify Payments because their business operates within the United States. Based on the information you've provided, you are residing in the United States, but do not have the proper documents to use Shopify Payments. 

In any case, we can not always guarantee the use of Shopify Payments. If a review has been done on your store and our Banking Partners and Risk team have determined that you're not eligible to use Shopify Payments, then the decision can not be overruled. 

Your next best step here would be to look into other payment providers available in the United States. Reaching out to one, or more of these providers to create an account will allow you to continue accepting payments in your store.

You would want to use Shopify Payments as you can not use Stripe when living in a country that offers Shopify Payments.
