Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
My store is in Jordan where Paypal is accepted using a local bank however Paypal only accepts bills in USD not JOD and my entire store is JOD as we are focused only on Jordan. JOD is pegged against the USD so the exchange rate doesn't fluctuate much.
Is there a way that when a customer wants to use paypal he/she is charged the equivalent amount in USD automatically?
Hi @Maqda7,
Hyde here from Shopify. What an interesting question!
Currency Conversion is a feature that's only available to merchants using our own Shopify Payments gateway at present, and Shopify Payments is not currently available in Jordan.
You could always set your store currency to be in US dollars and simply use a currency conversion app to display JOD to your customers instead of USD. That way your customers can see the equivalent price in JOD before they eventually check out in USD.
You could let them know that they'll be completing their order in USD by listing as much in the product description, or by using the language editor.
I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer them.
All the best, Hyde.

It is a joke such a big platform as shopify is not able to checkout in another currency.
My little borther of 9 can make this in wordpress with woocommerce.
There seems to be a little confusion so I hope to clarify matters: If you're using our own internal payment system called Shopify Payments you can sell in multiple currencies, and here's how. Shopify Payments is currently only available in the countries listed here.
If you are not based in one of these countries, you will have to use a third-party gateway like Paypal, for example. Shopify has no say over what currency your customers can check out in, in that case. That is a conversation to be had with the gateway directly.
I cannot speak to what Woocommerce or WordPress offers, but if they can provide a better solution and one that your brother could help you out with, I would certainly recommend opting for the platform that best suits your needs.
