Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
It means it is likely the buyer used stolen credit card details. Most of the time this is the case - cancelling the order will protect you from a chargeback. If you want to make sure this is not fraudulent, call the customer and confirm the order details. You can find additional info here: Shopify Help Center | Fraud analysis
I noticed billing and shipping where not the same, coudl that have triggered it?
That might not be necessarily the case. The Shopify fraud analysis uses sophisticated method to analyze fraud. This is quoted from the docs page: "Fraud recommendations are powered by machine learning algorithms that are trained on historical transactions across all Shopify stores. The recommendations give you the benefit of years of fraud detection experience."
Fraud orders and chargeback are very common- if you are new to running online stores. My recommendation is: if you are not sure or confirm the order is not fraudulent, cancel the order to avoid chargebacks.
I appreciate the info, as a matter a fact, I have been runing a busniess for 7 years. I never once had a fraud purchase that I know of. It is posible I never knew it. What is shocking ( or maybe common?) is my very first order with shopify was detect as such.
The payout just came in today, I already issued the cancel refund 2 days ago? Is there a better way to contact shopify in recards to these matters?
